In answer to the question, yes, OMBR is an active member of Petfinder.
 The next e-mail in my inbox, after Issue 8 of the DD, was my reminder
from Petfinder that the Shelter Challenge starts again Jan. 10, and
had OMBR updated its petfinder site within the last 30 days?  Yes, we
have, thank you.  Petfinder drives quite a bit of traffic to our
website; I'd say 30% of the potential adopters who call me found us
first on Petfinder.

As far as I know, Arkansas doesn't have any really large, organized
shelters or groups that would be a "sure thing" to win a vote of this
type.  I hope I'm right.  :)

In other news, Sally's four half-basset babies turned four weeks old
today.  In celebration, they were introduced to "puppy gruel" - kibble
blended with warm water to make a wonderfully stinky soup for them to
lick up, getting used to the taste of kibble.  They'd already shown
some interest in mom's food bowl, so I thought they were ready.  Well,
the three boys lapped at it with varying degrees of enthusiasm, but
little Fiona licked it, made a face (I swear she did), licked it
again, then walked right away from the bowl and sat with her back to
it.  Hmmmm..... A Pwincess in training, I fear, half-basset or no!.
