[Dailydrool] Blue Makes His Journey to the Bridge

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who contacted us regarding Blue.  Unfortunately we had to send him to the Bridge tonight.

When I talked to his vet around 5:30 PM she was pleased that his blood sugar was in the normal range, but was concerned that he was not coming around as quickly as she had hoped (they had him on valium to reduce the possibility of brain swelling).  She was also concerned that he might have seizures during the night.

I called the ER vet about a half hour ago.  She had just talked to their neurologist because he had been having multiple seizures for the last 4 hours.  There were a couple different drug protocols they could try to stop them, but they had no idea what his brain function might be and what his quality of liffe might be.  So we gave the okay to let him go.

He's already gone to the Bridge and I'm sure his reunion with Jonesy was a sight to behold.
