Annette, I am so sorry about your loss of Maya.  As hard as this is on you
and Jeff, what a wonderful way for her to go -- quickly and in the arms of
the person who loved her.  Having watched dogs struggle and having to have
made the horrible decision to help them at the end, I know how she went was
much better for Maya.

It sounds like you're having one of those times where you know God won't
give you more than you can handle -- you just wish he wouldn't trust you so
much.  I am sorry.  The bassets send hearthealing and hang in there drool
and I'm sending warm thoughts of support to you both.  Laura (Geoffrey,
