[Dailydrool] Dentals

So, both hounds are going in tomorrow for their first dental.  Ellie is 5 and Freddie will be 6 in May.  Ellie developed an infection in her tooth, so she'll probably lose it.  Freddie's also having a lump taken care of that has gotten bigger over the past few months...it began as a clogged nipple and turned into a cyst - hope its nothing as the vet originally thought.  Both dogs are on antibiotics and antiinflammatories in prep for the surgery to clear infection.  The vet bill for Sat. visit was astronomical as it also included pre-op blood panels to be sure things were ok with the pups.  Wondering if all dentals cost this much or if its because we've not done them thus far.   So this is a huge lesson about the need to brush their teeth. We have done it here and there, but not consistently and this is a very expensive lesson to learn.  Praying both pups have no complications and can come home tomorrow afternoon before we receive the expected foot of snow beginning tomorrow afternoon.  Looks like Tuesday will be another snow day.

We are so sorry to hear of Tucker and Boey Ann's passing.  We are sending heart healing droolies to their families and healing drool to all ill pups and their loved ones.
Congrats to Bob the dog, Sir on your Bissell win!
