If you think it'd help, we could throw together some string and tin cans
(I'm sure one of our craftier droolers has basset cozies or some sort of
wrapping for them) and ship them out..
 
maybe embarrass the ISP when the installer gets there... "you've been using
'that'?"

Although it might also be a good way to get to know your neighbors.. "say...
I need a drool fix .... could I borrow a cup of Internet?"  Or "say... your
with one of them fancy wireless do-dah's ... can I borrow some internet
connectivity?"
 
:)  yeah.. this coming from the guy that wants to build an antenna to try
and connect his special needs nephew's house together with his own wireless
internet.. its only 5 miles.. and I've read with the right size coffee can
antenna you can get 8 to 10 miles .... ;)

PS. what kind of cell phone do you have .. if its Android based you might be
able to add PDA Net to it for 20 bucks and then get your internet through
your phone's data plan (ie. in the states we have some carriers that do
unlimited *phone* data plans ... PDANet taps the phone data plan and shares
it to your attached computers)  ... Anyone else wanting more info, please

 Just been told by our internet provider that we now won't be connected to
the internet at home until 27 Jan.
