[Dailydrool] Colt & Ruger Calendar day

OM goodness...I go to flip my DD calendar this morning and there are the two most handsome hounds that I have ever seen before in my life!!! Wait those are my hounds!  Colt and Ruger aka. The Bad A$$ Basset Brothers.  Today is the boys Calendar day, my parents 45th wedding Anniversary and next Saturday July 9th will be the brothers 4th Birthday!!!  It seems like only yesterday that I picked them up from the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm (Snoopy comic strip reference)...thats what I called it anyway.  I got them from a very nice couple that had 2 breeding female bassets and a couple of Boston's .  There son had the Male basset that is the Brothers father.  Anyhowl The boys were so small I could carry both of them at the same time.  Not anymore!  The buppies have grown into little monsters...I mean very handsome hounds!  hehehehe...only sometimes are they little monsters.  For the most part they are very good boys that are the center of my world. They are my heart and soul, especially when the DH is off somewhere in the world trying to save someone or some team, aircrew etc.  Without them I would be a total basket case in a padded room somewhere in a straight jacket.  They boys have seem mw through a lot of stuff in their short 4 year life.  the DH being deployed twice for 3-4 months, numerous other Military training trips, and 2 year seperation with him stationed in England. Oh and the DH's 2 serious injuries sustained while training.  Yes my two bothers are my sanity rocks...Sometimes they drive me crazy but most of the time they keep me just outside of a mental treatment facility.

Tommorrow we will be celebrating the boys birthday with the neighbors with a Bar-B-Que, and a doggie cake from our favorite dog bakery. Oh and we will also be celebrating the DH's promotion to SMSgt (E-8).  DH looks very handsome with that new strip sewn onto his uniform...but the next paycheck will look even better with more bone moolah in it for the brothers.  hehehe. 

Happy 4th of July! Remember we would have an Independence day without the sacrifice of a lot of great warriors.
And to my Bad A** Basset Brothers - HAPPY CALENDAR DAY!!!!  Daddy & I Love you both very much.
Women are Angels...And when someone breaks their wings..They simply continue to fly....on a broomstick...They are flexible like that...
