[Dailydrool] Thanks and Introducing Henry

First of all I want to say thanks to everyone who has sent us 
condolences on loosing Gertrude.  It was a hard week and reading all of 
the notes and cards has really helped us get through the week.  I will 
try to personally respond to everyone that wrote but in case I miss 
someone...THANK YOU!!!!

Also, I couldn't figure out why I was getting dollars in the mail until 
I went back and read the message from Camp Toast.  Alex and I didn't 
want to see the DD end when Nancy was going to take a much needed leave 
from running it.  Having an IT background and knowing we could keep it 
up with the help of the moderators, we took on the challenge of keeping 
it going.  We are glad that we were able to help and are overwhelmed by 
the support of all the droolers.  Have I mentioned droolers rock?!  
Well, you do...each and every one of you!

I think Gerdie is well situated in her cloud coop and had a master plan 
that she put into action this weekend.  This weekend it was the dog show 
in Duluth and I always go to help out with the bassets.  So I went down 
there Saturday morning and helped wrangle the hounds ring side.  We sat 
and talked after wards for awhile and they all told me I needed to come 
back to Sue's place to see Nancy's little tiny pups.  So I called Alex 
and he said that we could go Sunday after the dog show.  YIPPEE!  So 
Sunday I get up early and head down to help with the hounds again and 
then we all head out go back to Sue's place.  After a quick stop for 
some breakfast and a 1.5hr drive,  we were there.  I quickly changed 
from my show clothes and then went in and sat with the little pups.  
They were darling!  Then Nancy said that she had her two little bit 
older pups and that I should meet them.  So I head outside and she 
brings out the two most beautiful approximately 4 month old pups!!!  The 
little boy had been stepped on by momma dog as a new born so his back 
leg didn't work properly and she said that she needed to find a good 
home for him...someone who would know his limitations and love him just 
the way he was!  Guess who sat in my lap and gave me kisses all 
afternoon?!  Yup, the little boy pup.  I was in love!  I decided not to 
bring him home that day to make sure that it was right and that both 
Alex and I were on the same page.  After a good nights sleep and really 
missing him we called Nancy back yesterday and went over to bring him 
home!  So I'd like to introduce Henry Longfellow Jokela!!!

I know Gerdie had her paw in this one and made sure that we crossed 
paths this weekend!!
