When I leave, I have to sneak, bribe or have my sister restrain Jr., or I don't get out the door. That being said, he dutifully waits for me at the back entrance on the lower level, my usual point of entry, and while he is not a talker, he rejoices to see me with a great big hug (leg hump) and a few bites to reprimand me for my leaving him in the first place. Were it not for checking in on Mom, I wouldn't be gone so long, so I hope he understands. Nikki is the screamer, and she comes down (split level house, short stair case), but then she runs up, and more than once I thought she was going to knock me down as I tried to climb up the stairs. She has punch. Nigel and Colette grab a stuffed toy, and it is important to them both to greet me with a toy in mouth, not so sure to give, but to show off, see what I have. Mama and Papa, Pumpkin and Jean Paul (just the eldest girl and boy, no biology involved) stay upstairs and wait for me there. I hear a change in Mama's voice, and I see more lumps on her. She had a stage two growth removed a few years ago, so I am a bit concerned. She has a vet app't scheduled for Sept., but I may move that up. Jelly has her days of loud or louder, she is a very vocal basset (with papers), but she really looks like a bagel. Whatever, she makes Max happy, and while they have the same body type, Max still looks like a basset, not a bagel. They are all loves, and they rock my world. Burger King has this new mini burger, and I have the urge to get them all one tomorrow. I bought a box of plain cheese burgers for my friend's mini herd today, and they were very pleased.
Everyday looking forward to the OBR fest. I hope Pierre will love and remember the pond.
Healing drool for all in need.
Jackie and the herd
