I am so sorry to read that Lucy has made her journey to the bridge. Take heart that she is once again a young and healthy hound full of energy and free of any pain. May she live in forever in the magic of your memories.

It has been very hot and humid down here the Florida panhandle. Most days it is above 95 and with heat index it is over 100. Even at 5am it is in the 80's with heat index. We walk 3 houses down the street and I am already starting to sweat. So needless to say the boys walks have been very short or non-existant. Last night we had storms move through the area (no rain, no lighting, just moving on through) which cooled it off for a little bit. Colt, Ruger and the very long legger Rambo went out and the next thing I know there is a basset/great dane 500 going on...It was hilarious. Ruger going full throttle running from Rambo, Ruger has a half the yard head start and Rambo in 5 strides catches up with him and steps over him so that Ruger is now chasing Rambo...or would that be Rambo has just lapped Ruger. Colt just seemed to be running around the yard to try to get out of the crash zones.

TGIF!!! Doggie day care is hard work! Imagine working at a Day Care for nothing but 2 year old kids and very cranky old people that don't like all the young'ins nonsense...And that my friends is Doggie Daycare.

Michele Momma to tha Bad A** Basset Brothers
Colt: "It's to hot to go outside"
Ruger: 'I want to go out....dang it! Its still hot out here. Mom Let me back in"
Rambo "let me in, let me out, let me in, now let me out again, wait let me back in to cool off and then I'll go back out."

Women are Angels...And when someone breaks their wings..They simply continue to fly....on a broomstick...They are flexible like that...
