[Dailydrool] Our new addition and drinking alot of water

We adopted a little girl (7 years old) a few days ago.  Her name is Bunny.  Maggie and Flash love their new big sister. 
We took her to the vet for a check up on Friday.  One of our concerns was the amount of water she is drinking.  Alot more than her sisters drink that's for sure.  We had her blood and urine checked out and everything came back great.  The vet wanted to make sure she wasn't diabetic or have cushings.  She had one "accident" in the house the day after she came to us.....but now that the other girls taught her how to use a dog door all is good.
Our vet said some dogs just drink alot of water.  Could be stress from leaving their previous home....it was really hot here last week she could have been thirsty.  Also he said some dogs just love water.  My guess for drinking so much is - I know the last family she was with did not leave water down for her because she was "obsessed" with it and she dribbled on the floor!  My gosh!  She is a basset!  Poor thing tanked up when she got the chance.  She drank from the toilet (gross) once too before she realized there was actually a water bowl down at all times.  Anyway since the weather has gotten cooler she has not been drinking near as much.  After being passed around a bit Bunny is fitting right in with our family and has found her forever home.
