Actor Peter Falk passed last night at home, 83.

If you knew Columbo, then you knew Dawg, and then know why this is basset related.  

If bassets were human, Columbo would be their incarnation.  How they looked, and acted.. smarter than the bad guy, looking lazy and comfortable, cumbersome and clown-like even, but never giving up on the scent of a crook.
