[Dailydrool] thank you all....you made someone's day

Dear Droolers; 
 
Want to say a special thank you (however belated) to those who spent all the effort doing Howliday Cards this year and in past years.  
 
Why now?  Yesterday I had a cable repairman come into my place and glance at the wall.  On that wall I have years worth of my fav pics of bassets from cards.  in collage form. 
 
The guy almost cried, said he'd had a basset as a child and always wanted to get one when he grew up.  
 
I then opened my daughters bedroom door and out came our Geoffrey "the biscuit" and jumped all over him.  He sat down on the floor and played with biscuit for several minutes, as he got a bath with kisses and love.  
 
He said when he left that I'd made his day, and I explained that it was NOT me at all, but those hundreds of basset lovers who send cards every year and biscuit.  
 
He said he'd be talking to his wife about rescue, they live in Longview, WA.  
 
I get enjoyment (my daughter also) every day walking in the front door and seeing those sweet faces.  
 
Thank you all for the gift that keeps giving every day of they year.
