[Dailydrool] confusion over Snoopy

Wow.  Somehow some folks seem to have gotten a mistaken impression of Snoopy.
He doesn't bite, doesn't fight, nothing like that.  He just seems to have his
own standards of etiquite which include howling when he's happy, barking at
other dogs when he wants to play, pulling and lunging for generally no reason
and so on.  From what I've read these traits may simply be because he is a
basset hound and not a labrador retriever.  He wanted to play chase with a
springer spaniel last week and the poor thing didn't like his howling and hid
behind a shed at the park and I had to go coral Snoopy and take him home.  He's
not mean or nasty or aggressive ... he's just loud and in your face.

At the moment the Lab is laying at my feet and the basset is laying on his back
squeaking a toy and wondering what all the fuss is about.

Thanks for all of the advise and encouragement.  Every dog I've ever had has
come from a kill shelter, including these two.  It's all good, we'll work it
out.

Thanks,
Dale
