AS A MODERATOR, I have to say that I NEVER mind taking the extra time to
approve posts of condolences for anyone, whether it be a frequent poster or
a lurker. Of course, each individual always has the choice to post a
condolence on the Drool or to send it privately. But it is a personal
choice and no one should feel uncomfortable giving or receiving condolences
through the forum of the Daily Drool.

AS A LONG TIME DROOLER, having lost many dogs through the years, it is
comforting to know that fellow droolers share my grief and care enough about
me and my dogs to express it publicly. I have found that it helps the
grieving and healing process. If the posts bother you, I suggest that you
skip them and move on. If the number of Digests bother you, then use the
archives to pick and choose what you want to read. But do not try to
inhibit other's desire to be supportive and caring by your biases.
