I agree with Angelika that if you need a cart, the design that seemed most
suited for a basset hound is the one used by Eddie's Wheels. Some of the
others had taller structures, or wider things. They make each cart to your
baby's measurements. If you are getting one for a relatively young hound and
anticipate it might be used for many years, it is sure worth having it
custom made. The folks on the phone are very helpful and they provide prompt
service. Nudgie used is for a relatively brief period of time and it allowed
him to go out for short walks in the neighborhood. It is not something of
great use in the house. The user can't lay down and has to be placed in and
out of the cart. Nudgie's cart is currently on loan to another sweet senior
who is using it to go out for several sniff walks a day in her yard. That
makes me very happy.
