Hi Esther!
I do know about the pyrrolizidine warnings and I appreciate the "heads
up".  I buy pyrrolizidine-free butterbur capsules.  Sara has no liver
problems & we do full blood panel twice per year.  She also takes a
traditional chinese herb formula & has chiropractic care for the
incontinence.  She has less side effects with the butterbur & TCM
formula than she did from the Proin and Sudafed, which has stopped
working for us.  Had her on estrogen therapy which would only work if
given every day, and the side effect of that is bone damage.  (Can't
remember exact wording for that)
What we're doing now is helping and where there were the beginnings of
urine burns is now healthy skin.  I used gentian violet cream to heal
that.  I wish you success with Basil's incontinence too.
