[Dailydrool] bassets and life vest

I truly believe that a life jacket is essential with a basset in the boat.
Molly Bob wears hers out in the boat. She has tried to chase the ducks
right over the side of the boat.
I have attached 3 pictures of her swimming with her life vest and
sitting on the dock. This is an Outward Hound brand life vest, I like it 
because it is a full piece under the chest. not just straps.
also across the chest is a full piece, not just straps. The velcro is very 
strong, plus 

there are straps and clips to adjust the fit.
I have discoverd the bassets don't swim very well having had two that like the 
water
Molly has jumped off the dock chasing ducks and I had to go in after her. 
It does take time to get used to it and I do take it off of her on the boat, if 
there is nothing
around to entice her off the boat. Always keep them leashed.
