I can't say enough good things about the Mishgun Basset folks!  Sure the weather sucked... but they brought things inside and those who came today sure seemed to be having a good time.  I'm sorry the attendance was so impaired by the weather... You all should have come, like someone said before, put a bunch of Bassets and their people together and most definitely there will be a good time.

I was privileged to be invited to bring 'Ears To You hats and wares to the event this year and I couldn't have been more welcomed.  Melissa and her team of incredible helpers really know how to make a girl feel loved.  They were there to assist in anyway possible ... and I assure you - I really appreciated every bit of their help.

I know you are disappointed Melissa, but I think you did a fabulous job and should be proud.  The new concept is excellent, the weather... maybe not so much, but it sure wasn't your fault.  Everyone who braved the weather had a wonderful time and shared wonderful Basset stories and pets and kisses and friendships.  Waddles are like that... a time to meet the "friends" you've "known" on line for years, and revisit with folks you've actually known for years, but haven't seen in too long.

You did those things for so many of us.  I hope you got lots and lots of $$$ for the houndies.

PS, I used to go to that big race in Indianapolis on Memorial Day weekend... and I can remember ugly bad rain there more than once... so don't beat yourself up... those folks don't always get cooperation from the clouds either.
