[Dailydrool] Snooter in the water bowl

Good morning all, Cyrus here,

Are Labrador retreivers allowed to post to this list?  I sure hope so because I 
have a major issue I need help with.  Now contrary to what you might have heard 
from Snoopy we are not neat freaks.  Taking frequent baths is fun and healthy, 
and not a sign of mental illness as he may have led to you believe.  But this 
water bowl thing has got to stop.  Now me, if I want a drink I use my tongue.   
 Mama has never seen a dog drink like Snoopy.  If he is a little bit thirsty he 
uses his tongue too.  But if he is VERY thirsty he sticks his WHOLE SNOOTER deep 
into the water bowl and makes a circle with his mouth like he does when he 
ahrooooos and uses the whole snooter as a straw and drinks down half the bowl in 
nothing flat.  And you don't EVEN want to see what's floating in the water bowl 
when he's done.  Disgusting.  Nobody can drink the other half, mama has to dump 
it and rinse it and refill it.

Anybody else got a basset who does this?  The vet suggested separate water bowls 
so mama got Snoopy a deep, narrow one to keep his ears out of the water but 
guess what?  Yup, he drinks out of both of them and I do too.  Any help would be 
much appreciated.
