[Dailydrool] Snooter in the water bowl

Dere Cyrus, dis be Holly da Dolly replyin to yur qwestion.  Yes, Sister
Gracie drinks like dis, our vetman sez she drinks like a HORSE duz.  Sticks
da snooter inta da water allaways up ta her eyeballs, den gulps and licks
and snorts suffin fierce until her runs outa air, den liffs da huge beeg
head outa da water wif da mouf hangin open and NIAGARA FALLS comes rollin
outa da mouf.  Her snorts da water outa da snooter, den starts all ober
agin.  Affer all dis, her SHAKES DA HEAD ta git da water offf.  Is truly
amazin mess, me an Sister Anna allus leaves da room soze not ta get a
shower.  Mama sez ta tell yur Mama ta get used ta it, ain't gunna stop.  

 

Mama taking over here, Holly is right, we have tried just about everything
to get Gracie not to drink like a horse and nothing has ever worked.
Someone suggested only putting small amounts of water out at a time, but we
have 3 dogs and 4 cats here and I have better things to do all day than
continuously put small amounts of water in small bowls.  Does Snoopy
love-love-love to drink out of puddles?  Gracie feels it is her mission in
life to drink all puddles dry.

 

Petsmart carries special placemats for pets that we use under all water
bowls in the house and we highly recommend them.  The placemat is plastic
and has a large hump all the way around the outer edge that acts like a
moat.  Gracie still gets water all over but the moat-mat catches most of it.
Get a LARGE one, they really help.
