Another suggestion made by my bank, keep a separate credit card only to be used for mail order things, paypal, etc.  It's harder to keep accounts separate and fund two accounts but you are less likely to be scammed.  With so much business being done online this is the only way to avoid some idiot from using your card.  Also, only keep $50.00 or so more than you plan to use in the account and never tie it to overdraft or scammers can suck the overdraft account dry also.
