I saw that ad as well.  With the jowls flapping into the air, the eyes bugging
out of it's head and the look of confusion on it's face, my first thought was
that I could throw a side of beef into that pool and no way would my basset jump
into the water (well, maybe Marley - that boy just ain't right LOL). They are
way too smart and would wait for it to float to the side and then pull it out.

 

Now, retrievers on the other hand (no disrespect to those who own them), they
will jump into water for ANYTHING - ball, sock, air - ANYTHING!!!

 

The other thought I had was that this commercial is for BUD LIGHT!!! No
respectable basset would drink ANYTHING LIGHT.  So, obviously, this whole
commercial is a farce.
