[Dailydrool] Dry Eyes

My one Basset has dry eyes. For a while I was buying something from my vet 
for $45 a tube that I think was called Optimunne or something like that. 
Well a little over a year ago, I went back to the vet to get another tube 
and was told they didn't have any and wouldn't have any until May of the 
following year.  The manufacturer had a contaminated batch and had to start 
over or something like that. I thought I could buy it on line, but couldn't. 
No one had it.  So I did some research and found the product Puralube Vet 
Ointment.  I bought that and have been using it ever since.  The price 
varies from $5 to $10 a tube depending where you get it and how much you buy 
at one time. I have found the cheapest place to get it is at Amazon through 
one of their sellers.  I usually buy about 11 or 12 tubes at once to get the 
best price which is around $5. I did show it to my vet and he said it was 
fine to use  instead of his expensive stuff.  I've tried drops but my dog 
hates them.  My vet did have something mixed for me at the pharmacy but she 
hated having it put in her eyes so it was money wasted.
