[Dailydrool] pillow "fight"

I hit the pillows around 11:30 last night, and jr. was still sleeping on the couch downstairs.  He will be up later, and Pumpkin was in bed with me for a while, but she does nightly rounds, so the next 20 minutes or so is the steady "click click click" of her toe bones on the laminate.  Little Nikki makes her way into bed, and she has a fine pile of pillows to plop into for her comfort.  A little while later, jr. makes his way up, and instead of going to his usual spot, he climbs on top of me which means he wants me to shift to the center of the bed, and he takes my spot.  I shifted my pillow (temperpedic pillow) with another for Pierre, and I slid over.  A few minutes later he walks across my body to survey what other pillow situations are available.  His usual cache of 4 is still unoccupied, but he decided to climb over me once again (I had shifted back to the edge of the bed), thus making me shift to center once more.  With each shift, I cherished MY PILLOW, and switched out another for Pierre.  After this last shift, Pierre was making it very obvious what the problem is.  With his snooter he is testing the pillows, first his, then mine, then his, then mine.  He was checking the firmness versus fluffiness, and he wanted mine, the firm one.  Since he couldn't get me to give it up, he decided sharing would be ok.  In the meantime, he has me shoved into Nikki's backside, and the small of my back was being crushed by her rumpbone, and she didn't mind at all.  She likes closeness.  My nose was one inch away from Pierre's, and truth be told, I was not very comfortable, so I waited till he was asleep and found a completely different spot on the bed, north/south instead of my usual east/west.  He was fine for the rest of the night, but he was so cute and funny.
