Dear Friends of OMBR, Present and Past Adopters,
and everyone who has given us so much help and support over the years:

Since the recession first began, OMBR has seen a steady decrease in
 adoptions, foster homes and donations.  As a result, we have been
able to take in fewer and fewer bassets due to lack of foster homes,
and our bank account repeatedly approaches $0 .  We have reached a
point where we do not feel like we are properly able to fulfill our
mission at this time.  Accordingly, OMBR, Inc. is closing its doors.
We will be making an official announcement on our website shortly.

We want to thank all of you very much for all the help and cooperation
you've given us in the past.  Without that assistance from you and
supporters like you, we would not have lasted as long as we have.
Thank you for helping us save homeless hounds.

We will continue to care for the dogs we currently have in foster care
until they find permanent homes.  They will continue to need medical
care in some cases, and we do have a couple of "permanent fosters",
who are unadoptable.  We will have a few other ongoing expenses, such
as maintaining the website.  In addition, we will honor our commitment
to any dogs previously adopted from us that may need to be returned to
OMBR because of a crisis in their forever home.

Phil Guinn, our founder, hopes that he may be able to restart OMBR in
a few years, once he is able to retire from his full-time job.  To
that end, OMBR, Inc, intends to keep any remaining funds in escrow for
the future.
