[Dailydrool] Varmint Hunters

Dis be Carlie Jane. I nebber paw in, but I had to talk about Varmint Hunters. One day several years ago my young human, Holly, got a bright idea. She has pet lizards and she was always buying crickets, so she brought home a cricket keeper that held lots of crickets so she didn't have to go buy them so often. Then she filled it with 100 crickets and took a nap. You know, it's not my fault that she left it on the floor. And whenever I nudged it, they all went running around inside so I decided to chew the end off of the box to see if they wanted to play. How was I to know they would just run out and hide? None of them wanted to play. Did I mention that my mama is scared to death of bugs? My hebbens, you should have heard her shrieking, for days and days. Those little guys were crawling up the curtains, and in the closets, and in shoes, and walking up walls. There was one on the towel one day when she took a shower and I never saw her move so fast,
 shrieking all the way. It was days before my mama would sit in a chair with her feet on the floor. Unfortunately, none of us bassets here were of the hunting quality that Conley is. Had my mama known there were bug hunting bassets out there, she would have brought me home a new baby brother. I don't guess we need one now because we NEVER used that cricket keeper again.
