[Dailydrool] Seeing Colors

I'm not sure what to believe about if dogs are color-blind or if
they only see group colors. All I know for sure is that
Frances' (Darling ATB) favorite toy . . . besides a squirrelanista
or bunnyzilla . . . was a little rubber ball w/legs call Cuz. She
had Good & Bad Cuz in a rainbow of colors.
Every once in awhile I would line them up in different order to
see if she would select the one that seemed to be her favorite.
Let me also say that I constantly washed them, you know to
clean the dried slobber off, so they all smelled the same.
She would look down the row and bee-line for the purple one.
I think purple was her favorite color, she would always migrate
to anything purple.
Before you say . . . oh, she liked the dark one . . . we have an
extended rainbow of colors . . . light-medium-dark blue, black,
light-medium-dark green, light-medium-dark red, purple . . .
you get the picture & yes I did go crazy buying them when I
found a different color. Frazier (Hansom ATB) liked them too,
but didn't have a favorite color. If they have limited color
spectrum, how did she know which one the purple one was?
Soothing drool to all in need & smoochy licky-kisses too!
Barb, Allie (Who doesn't seem to know what to do with toys),
Frances (Lovely ATB) & Frazier (Muscle Boy ATB)
