[Dailydrool] nails

good morning to everyone, human and basset. it is a chilly, rainy day here in RI. i just brushed maggie's teeth and then decided she could use her nails clipped. she actually does better with just me and her than if i had someone holding her. afterwards i get a little piece of sandpaper and "file" her nails so there aren't any sharp spots. she likes that. i was wondering if anyone paints their basset's nails with doggy nail polish? i was looking at them and thought about it but her fur comes out a little long near her toes. but i don't know if she'd chew it off or if you just don't do that to bassets!!! we are both awaiting your answers.hoping for different ones kimberly & maggie
