FIrst it's with a heavy heart that I let all know that Princess my beagle wannabe went to Rainbow Bridge this past Wednesday. She was having issues walking, her back legs weren't working right, but she sort of responded to the meds the vet gave her. I picked her up as we had been doing the last week to go outside for her final pee in the evening and as I was talking to her she yelped and went limp in my arms - pretty sure she had a heart attack and was instantly gone. It has been hard but she lived a beautiful life - found on the Shoreway in Cleveland OH 16+ years ago, pregnant - we always joked that she was a street slut turned Princess - RIP my little girl.

On a brighter note we took in a foster from OBR, Twiggy named because you can see all her little rib bones - she came the day Princess passed - so we have made the decision that we will once again be Foster Failures....Twiggy aka either Quinn, Gracie or Chloe (we can't decide) will stay in our home permanently. Kissmet I guess.

Which leads me to the next thing...what is the stuff everyone is using these days to get that dang urine smell out of the carpet? We just got new carpet this summer and Princess had a few accidents that we cleaned up but I still can smell that odor - especially now that the heat turned on.....HELP some name that had an X in it I think...I have tried all the things from the pet store and none of them have done any good. You can email me off list if you want - earthyoga at aol.com - any help would be appreciated!

Sending lots of drool for all those who have lost a beloved friend and for all those in need.....Animal and Human!

Emily and the Gareis girls, Maggie, Bailey, LaVerne & Gracie-Chloe-Quinn
