[Dailydrool] Dog Flu

Dog Flu is contagious and can be very, very serious. My understanding, which
may be incorrect, I am not a Vet-- is that it is more respiratory than the
tummy flu, and leads to pnuemonia, etc.
I may be wrong about this.
I am certain there are other flu and cold type bugs that circulate among
dogs: I have had mine get the pukes and squirts one after another, but of
course until the second or third dog starts barfing, it doesn't occur to me
that we are running a bug. Usually it is my Vet who says "Didn't Llewis just
have this?" or more likely "Didn't Llewis and Conley just have this?" Oh hey
yeah you're right. So I didn't need to come in and pay this bill?
Dog Flu seems to hang around dog shows and dog parks. All my dogs are
vaccinated and would be even if I were told the bug had not arrived in my
area .....YET. All you need is one dog at a show in another state getting
exposed.
