[Dailydrool] 2011 Mid-ABHR Fall Picnic - another change in date

Because I did not check the calendar properly before trying to change the date of our NJ Fall Picnic, I inadvertently booked the date of 10/8/2011 which is very important to our Chewish friends. We want them to be with us, too, so we have changed the date one more time to OCTOBER 2, 2011. We will also be holding the picnic at the Pavilion at North Branch Park instead of Brook Grove picnic area, a much higher and dryer ground!!
 
Consequently, and because we have not heard from many people, we are canceling the Long Island Picnic originally scheduled for October 2, 2011. We hope our Long Island furiends can join us anyway in NJ. 
 
Join Mid-Atlantic  Basset Hound Rescue for a day of fun including contests (costume, longest ears, best trick, musical beds), prizes, refreshments, new merchandise, and a PARADE OF RESCUED DOGS to honor all Bassets rescued through Mid-Atlantic Basset Hound Rescue.
 
We will be holding our picnic at North Branch Park in Bridgewater, NJ.  New to this year and date is the use of the Pavilion, nearer to the bathrooms and close in proximity to Brook Grove and its accompanying softball field. The Pavilion contains picnic tables and grills/ We need volunteers for preparing the food at the picnic, as well as volunteers for other activities, such as registration, raffle table, games, etc. Just let us know if you are available when you register. The weather is expected to be beautiful - dry, sunny and cool!!
 
Pre-register by sending your name, address, phone number and number of adults, children and hounds attending. Bring with you to the event your 100-word description to be read during the parade if participating with your rescued hound(s). Bring chairs for yourself and water for your dog(s). Dogs must be kept on leash. Please pick up after your dogs. Bring plastic baggies for pick-up and a copy of your dog(s) current vaccination records.
