[Dailydrool] Growth under neck

My Jake has a growth like a lump under his neck he has had it quite awhile about a year. It doesn't seem to bother him. He still eats and plays and he is about 8yrs old. I took him today for his yearly check up and right away they want to take cell out of the growth and check it. And the test will cost about $64.00. I remember when he got it. Jake had a bad ear infection and Jake kept scratching his ear and that is when the lump came under his chin. The doctor took blood work and told me it wasn't cancer. But the lump never went away. Has any body gone thru this? Kathy
