[Dailydrool] Pet Insurance

Momma here, and imagine my suprise as I sat in my office today waiting for a program to run and I picked up the new consumer repots mag to occupy my time. One of the articles is Insurance Policies you dont need--and of course listed as number 2 was Pet insurance. Now I have no feelings one way or another on the opinions of this magazine, but thery gave a report on how they had analized the healthy damn beagle over a 10 year life with nine different carriers. and it says none paid more in benefits than the total cost of the policy, but 5 carriers did pay when they added some hypothetical problems. So----hmmmmmm.
I do remember a drooler years ago with pet insurance that had a baaset get sick of something-I dont remember--but she turned in the bills and got a check for 1 cent. Never forgot that as I was at that time checking into pet insurance for the gang here.
As with any insurance policy, read the very fine print--and then read it again--those "exclusions" are always worded so they are confusing.
