Sigh indeed! Saturday was also bath day for Harrison. I tied his leash to a tree in the backyard so he couldn't escape. After many rounds playing the game Hound-Around-the-Rosie, I successfully bathed him. I unhooked his leash, where he proceeded to do the Basset 500 around the yard before making a b-line to under the deck so he could roll in the dirt.
