[Dailydrool] Happy 5th Gotcha Day!

5 years ago tonight, my sister-in-law, niece and I drove to somewhere in New Jersey, and met a stranger by the name of Suzanne Fitch (head of Mid-ABHR) in a dark McDonald's parking lot.  No, she didn't sell us drugs!   She delivered my babies to me.  2 of the OMBR 24, they had spent 3 days in and out of cars.  Annie was adopted that night, and Fred came home as a "foster."  We drove home with 2 shell-shocked bassets in the back seat, were cornered in my driveway by my neighbor's psychotic schnauzers, and then my niece and I spent the night on my lumpy pull-out sofa.   Less than 48 hours later, I had foster-failed, Fred was adopted, and the 3 of us settled into a very strange routine that we call life.  Fast-forward 5 years and Annie and Fred are now stars of Facebook, and the center of my world.  

I asked for a companion, I was given a purpose.   I asked for a pet, I was given a family.   I asked for love, and I have been given more love than I could ever possibly deserve.   Happy 5th Gotcha Day Annie and Fred!You have changed my life in ways I never could have imagined.  Thank you for choosing me!!! ♥ ♥
