[Dailydrool] Hand holding

Bill here, press agent/personal trainer to Miss Angela Basset,
Droop and Drool Diva of Wichita and Sedgwick County

We are just coming back to full activity after a lazy summer of
hibernating indoors in the cool.  Miss Angela's preferred place
is lying on her back on the couch, right under the ceiling fan as
the cool air ruffles the white hair on her tummy.  I prefer the 
recliner.  We didn't do much this summer but get fatter.

Does anyone else have a hound who likes to hold hands?   Miss
Angela will come alongside whatever chair I am using and expect
to have her head and neck scratched.  After a while, she will lie 
down and roll over onto her back.  Then she will raise one of her
paws up to where my hand is still groping to scratch her ears and
place her paw in my hand.  

When she was young, Miss Angela hated to have her feet handled
and would pull away immediately.  Now she asks to have her paw
held.  She likes me to hold the paw on four fingers and lightly 
stroke the top of her paw with my thumb.  She will go to sleep in this
position if I keep stroking.  How strange!  It does make it easier for
the folks where she goes for her monthly Spa Day to trim her nails.
