[Dailydrool] Gracie finally ate

Hi all, it's the hopelessly frazzled momPerson here,

I tried it all, everything, she wouldn't eat, I called the vet, they said if she 
won't eat by tomorrow bring her in (they're open on Sunday).  I let her sleep a 
couple of hours.  Then ....

I lightly warmed the rice and boiled steak and put it in a nice crystal bowl and 
got a spoon and put Snoopy out in the mancave with Julianne.  I went outside and 
told Gracie how much I loved her and what a good little girl she is and got 
wagged at.  I acted exited and went back inside and she followed and I sat down 
on the floor and tried to feed her with the spoon.  Nada.  So I offered her the 
bowl.  Nada.  So I tried hand feeding her.  Nothing.  So I took my hand away and 
was wondering what to try next when she started to sniff my hand.  So I put my 
hand back under her snooter and she nuzzled and then ATE the food in my hand. 
 Clueless momPerson that I am I thought I had worked a miracle.  I used the 
spoon.  She ate.  I gave her the bowl.  She ate.  She stopped and I reached into 
the bowl to hand feed her some more and she ate and THAT is when I saw it ......

LuLu.  Sitting behind Gracie with her chest pressed firmly into Gracies rump. 
 And her head resting firmly on Gracie's back.  A basset hug.  And Gracie was 
eating and ate about a cup of rice mixed with some boiled steak.  When she got 
done LuLu got up and harumphed at me and went and lay down.

I guess I'm just about useless.  Certainly clueless.  But my Gracie ate!!!!!
