I use a natural product called Tart Cherry. It is for your joints and also good for gout. Jagger has had 2 surgeries on the front crooked legs for elbow diplasia.  Has also now has a torn ACL which the vet has never seen in a basset  He is only 1 1/2 yrs young. I give him fish oil and the tart cherry pills and the ortho specialist said it was the best thing I could give him. He himself takes the tart cherry and so do I. They also make it in dog biscuits but with the pills you get alot more potency and it is cheaper. You can only get it at the health food stores and it is $20  where I live. I got it off the internet for $8.49 for 90 pills. I get the Solaray brand 425 ml. I give one capsule twice a day. Give it 4-6 weeks but you can tell a difference. I know several people who use it and love it.
