I promise this is my last post for today,
I read the article about the high school diploma scam in texas posted by 
carol and couldn't help but write the author, Mary Beth Quick. Below is my 
email (dictated by Archie, of course).

Dear Mary Beth,
My Basset Hound, Archie was very upset after he read your report about the 
fake High School diploma scam. He was aghast to learn that anyone would 
think a Basset needs to go to school or even need home tutoring. It is a well 
known fact among Basset enthusiasts that this breed in particular is very 
intelligent, scheming and manipulative. They are famously successful at training 
their 2 legged slaves and no other breed can come close to their intuitive 
senses, especially of the culinary variety.
For decades, even in the absence of official academic achievements, Basset 
Hounds have successfully invaded thousands of households, holding helpless 
families hostage with their charming, low keyed demur, their soulful 
expressions and food driven loyalty while guarding helpless refrigerators and 
countertops. I hope you will continue to keep us up to date on canine issues that 
are both meaningful and of legitimate relevance to all the four legged 
intellectuals among us.
