UTI's... Ms.Brandy started getting them as she got older. Elvis still gets one every now and then ( he also is incontinent and wears bellybands.) No matter how hard you try to keep them clean- doesn't happen. After the first year or so of being incontinent the UTI's have become much less common. The skin on his belly and around the tip of his 'parts' have toughened also and he doesn't develop sores anymore. He is living proof that the zinc in Desitin ( human baby butt creme- that his old vet insisted would poison him) did not poison him, but does heal the skin. Also makes a #$$#@% mess when it gets all over the floor.
Look up D-Mannose powder. A teaspoon a day can help with keeping UTI's at bay. It helps clean out the crud that the urine takes out, but sometimes gets left behind. Encourage water intake. More water in helps to flush the crud out.
Missing digests- this happens every now and again. Some server decides the drool is not on the 'good' list and stops sending it to folks. Check your spam or junk folders first. If it's not there and you miss several of them- you can always send a note to the mods. Melissa and Alex work hard at making sure that things get corrected. It is usually your server who changes the rules though- not that they tell anyone about it...
