 Check out Petfinder's classifieds section under adoptable animals--this is not the regular rescue listings.   These are owners looking to unload pets.  Many of them elderly.  It is very Craigs listesque.  Many are also simply selling puppies.  There is a form to fill out there too for a search.   It is loaded with Basset hounds--fill out the form.  At least 10 or 12 pure breds from all over the nation.  Many in Texas for some reason.  It is so sad to see people unloading 8 to 12 year old pets.
