[Dailydrool] In Honor of Morse and other things

Today in honor of Morse "Bark, Arooo, Bark" (translated into Give me a Cookie PLEASE") I made "Bark for them- Beefy dog cookies"  The boys love them.  Last weekend I made Daisy's Peanut Butter Cookies (recipe on the DD website), this weekend I used the same recipe but dropped the peanut butter from it and used a container of Benaful Prepared Meals - Beef Stew and a small jar of beef baby food. Worked out well but I should have used only 1/2 - 3/4 of hot water instead of a full cup since the dog food was pretty moist...no worries just add more whole wheat flour and corn meal.  I basted them with some Oraganicville Bar-B-Q sauce.  I got a 16 paw review. (my two hounds and Auntie Vals 2)  
So today I slaved away in the kitchen, cooking & baking for the hounds...Liver & chicken jerky, and baking cookies.  I am soooo slaved trained!

Ruger is a light red and white, more of a strawberry blonde, or a golden red color... but his eyebrows are mostly grey now, and he has grey on his muzzle.  He is 4 1/2.  His brother Colt who is a true brother, out of the same litter, but is a tri-color does not have nearly as much greying as Ruger.  Ruger is a bit more sensitive, slightly skittish to loud or annoying noises (like smoke detectors, car alarms, etc) But other then a little grey he is actually more active then his brother. 

Heart felt sympathy to all of those whose hounds have left for the rainbow bridge. Even though I don't send out personal sympathies like I used to, I do shed personal tears with each ATB posting.  And my heart goes out to each of the familys. 

Buckets of healing drool to all of the sick hounds and humans.  It should be coming in waves with all the baking and dehydrating that is being done around here.  Get well soon!!!
