When I am stupid with a capital stupid, I am very stupid. Not only have I offended Debbie, I did not serve either Clara or Yahoo well. Blew it. Thought I was being clever in creating a pawty and having Ms. Clara drinking too much. Not funny. A house has fallen on me. Many years ago I was the recipient of a few posts that sent me to that tears point and I am sorry. My intent was to tease not to offend. I received an email asking when I was going to apologize for calling Clara a drunk. I do. It never occurred to me that was  offensive. Like I said, stoopid me. Clara was a grand lady and I was priveleged to have once gotten the opportunity to offer her cookies and pet her. 



What I never did was suggest that Clara or Debbie  missed posting about Yahoo. Pawtunia intended to take care of that. He was the senior member of her very real basset family and we had hoped to see him last weekend. He passed the day before. There was no way that Clara, or her scribe would have posted about him. His person let me do it....and I did a really lousy job. 



For those who have not been Drooling back then, Feyfey started doing the bridge reports. When feyfey was alive, it was very easy to type for her.  She also used the granting of a Pw. title to encourage hounds and their people to post of really good slave training. It was fun and prompted a lot of good stories . The day she went to the bridge, in 2003, my ability to type for her went with it.   I do not know how Debbie manages to take dictation from Clara atb. I couldn't. Feyfey left and t he bridge reports and Pws kindly passed to Melba, and Olive and Ms. Brandy ...... when they were gone, Cakie reluctantly typed and when she left, more rarely Petunia. ... with my three girls came the buffet, Mama Tootsie and and a sadly expanding  number of hounds . I know first hand that doing it is hard, requires living in the archives and many tears. I also know that Clara has done a WAY better job at covering everybody than I (or whichever girl hound) ever did. 



I've walked in those shoes and should not have tried to tease about Clara in writing about Yahoo. Certainly, there was no attack intended and I hope that she and Yahoo are sharing many cookies. He was a wonderful guy and I also am sorry to have written something that took away from his leaving.
