[Dailydrool] Lucy's Eating Habit

Well, my little miss Lucy has shown me yet another personality that
Schroeder nor Sophie has...

She started this weird thing when she eats.

She gets all excited for her dish, I put hers down, she gulps down the
Glyco Flex I put in there.
Then she waits.

Until all the other dogs are done eating.

Then she takes one bite of kibble and chews it completely.

Stops, turns and looks to see if any one is watching her or coming over
to her dish.

The first dog to even look at her dish gets the lip growl.  Then she
eats a little more. And waits.  

Repeat last three sentences for about 15 mins or so until she eats her
whole bowl.

She started doing this when I was still feeding her in her crate
upstairs.
I thought I would try something different and start feeding her with all
the dogs downstairs.  I thought maybe it was because she felt she wasn't
part of the pack.

Should I just pull her dish from the floor when she starts this to try
to break her of this bad habit?

Then I feel guilty because she is only 8 mos old.  But I am starting to
get a little frustrated.  Everyone else inhales their food and doesn't
worry about what the other dogs are doing.

Anyone have any experience with this?  She is youngest of the five.

She has really given me a run for the money since our ATB boxers Maya
and Cassie were puppies....

I always read about bad basset hound behaviors and always thought how
lucky I was to have Sophie & Schroeder.
Worst that they do is eat poop.  NOT LUCY!  But I love her and she is a
sweetie.  

Just maybe a little too smartie pants for her own good.
