[Dailydrool] Delilah Buttercup

Thank you so many for your wonderful notes of encouragement and caring thoughts for Delilah Buttercup. Your kind words will never be forgotten. Delilah made her way to the Bridge this morning in her mom's arms and knows she was loved.  I was honored to have her with me for 10 days while she awaited her forever home. She was pure basset love in every way.  She fought the fight, but a horrid virus took her. There are two famililies devastated, her forever family the Battermans, and her foster family, The Walkers.  Through meeting Delilah, the families have formed a friendship that will always remain and include Delilah who will stay alive in both their hearts. Both families lost special girls this week, sweet Delilah, just a baby, and my beautiful Phoebe, who was only 2 years old.  We are surviving by knowing they are together and playing and pain free.
