Although OMBR is closed to intake for the foreseeable future, we do
still get lots of calls and e-mails about bassets that need rescued in
Arkansas.  While we have no foster homes or funds right now, we do try
to help those dogs get transported to other rescue groups when asked
whenever possible.

That being said, we feel that we need to inform the rescue community
that Helena Poist does not represent OMBR, Inc., and she does not have
permission to use our name or license to pull dogs from shelters. This
statement is being made for purposes of our own liability, and because
the question has been asked of us more than once.

Everyone involved in rescue is trying to save as many bassets as
possible, but sometimes we have differences of opinion on the right
ways to accomplish that.  If you have any questions or concerns please
feel free to contact OMBR at phil at ombr.org, or menzie at ombr.org.
