I cook for 1 Bloodhound and 2 Bassets while the other Bloodhound eats Bravo Blends raw. I'd be happy to answer any questions that you have. Jefro is on raw because it's the only thing he can tolerate. On home cooking I have started making meatloaf, ground beef or turkey, eggs, Parmesan cheese and carrots and spinach. I weigh all their food. Our dogs eat 75% protein and 25% veggies, no grains. Two eat 3% of their body weight and one eats 2.5%. In the protein I also count the yogurt and liver they get daily plus the eggs and cottage cheese I also add sometimes. Veggies are sweet potatoes and anything else because they love all veggies. 
Sounds complicated but it's easy now. I have a couple yahoo groups and books I can tell you about too if you're interested. 
Are you adding supplements? Most things they can get from their food but some things you need to add.
Hope I didn't overwhelm you. This has become a quest for me and I love being able to have control over what our dogs eat.
