[Dailydrool] bird in the mouth ...

Hi all, it's the clueless momPerson here,

Last night we were lounging around outside after dinner and I was giving my
flowers some extra water. There is a drip irrigation system but I am somewhat
neurotic in that I like to water my flowers and do so regardless of their actual
need to be watered. Hey, I've got some of the most lucious flower beds around
so it can't be all bad ... the drip waters them in the early morning and I
sometimes water them in the afternoon or evening just for grins. Anyway the DH
looked up and said "Snoopy's in the corner bed .... what's he got?" Well,
that's odd because the corner bed has one of those 18" LuLu fences AND Snoopy
stays out of my beds anyway so WTH?

I yelled to Snoopy to get OUT of my bed which he did and there was a bird in his
mouth. Flapping it's wings but Snoopy had a hold of his body. I yelled at
Snoopy to let the bird go which he didn't so I squirted Snoopy with the hose I
was holding and he dropped the bird when I got him and the bird high tailed it
over into the dog run which is actually a garden because the dogs have run of
the yard ... who would confine dogs to a small run in a side yard? Anyway this
bird aparently knew all about that because he squeezed in between the chain link
(he was running, not flying) and vanished. Snoopy wanted into the garden but no
such luck. I haven't seen the bird since so I presume he dried out and made his
way elsewhere.

More later from the clueless momPerson who has 3 dogs (maybe, for sure I have a
dog and 2 bassets) but the only one who has never caught a bird is the bird dog
.... go figure.
