[Dailydrool] Pecking Order

Dixie waddled into our house in late January.  She promptly became top
dog much to Boomer's (my sister's 3 year old basset) dismay.  Dixie
rules with an iron paw. She's been the only dog that keeps Boomer's
aggressive tendencies in line.  One little "grrrr" from her and Boomer
backs down.  The old girl turns 9 on Thursday.  She requested a
possum-flavored birthday cake.

Browyn is just being a baby sister to Bugsey and Buford.  She's bossy
and wants her way.  I'm thankful for her strong will - I think it
helped her overcome parvo.  Of course Browyn spent 4 weeks with Dixie.
Perhaps Dixie was training her.
