Basset buppies are wonderful but some are buppies till they are three years 
old and have to be kept safe from themselves. Crates are wonderful for 
keeping them safe so they do not eat through the couch and get staples stuck 
in their bellies when you are not home, or chew the leg off of a wooden 
chair and get splinters in their tummy. Nylabones are another great tool 
when they are teething to help them get those teeth to quit hurting. They 
have to chew chew chew because those new teeth hurt them. Other than that 
what Nigel said is all true. Enjoy your new buppie Nina.
